Privacy notice

Who is responsible

UAPRAD Ltd, company number 17328583, is the controller for the personal information it processes for Grongle Manor. Contact contact@uaprad.org or write to 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom.

This notice covers the Grongle Manor Android app. The initial public release is offered in the United Kingdom and United States to adults aged 18 or older. No UAPRAD account or email address is required to play. The app asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older and accept the terms; it does not ask for your date of birth.

Game information on your device

The app stores your hunt identifier, progress, position, inventory, settings and recovery copy so you can continue playing. The hunt identifier is a random game seed, not an advertising identifier. Checkpoint and continuation history prevent duplicate rewards. It also stores the version of the terms you accepted, the acceptance time and your privacy choices.

These records support the game features you request and the record of your choices. Where they are personal data, we rely on providing the game under its terms and meeting our consent-record obligations. Accepting the terms does not give advertising or analytics consent.

Hunt backups are not uploaded automatically. Android automatic cloud backup and automatic device transfer are disabled. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, precise-location or media-library permissions. A system file picker opens only when you choose to import or export a backup.

Advertising

Google AdMob delivers and measures adverts and helps prevent advertising fraud. Its SDK can process your IP address, approximate location, device and app information, identifiers including the Android advertising identifier where permitted, ad interactions and diagnostic information. UAPRAD and Google act as independent controllers for their advertising processing.

Google's consent form presents applicable advertising privacy choices. The app checks the consent platform before requesting adverts. You can revisit applicable choices through Advertising privacy choices in App settings. Refusing optional consent does not block the game; available advertising may be limited or unavailable.

We rely on consent for optional advertising storage and personalisation where required. Processing needed for permitted ad delivery, security and fraud prevention uses the applicable consent choices and lawful bases described in the consent form and Google's advertising information. Paying for the upgrade does not provide advertising or analytics consent. Paid users can still choose an optional rewarded advert.

Optional usage analytics

Usage analytics is off by default. If you switch it on in App settings, Google Analytics for Firebase processes app/device information, an app-instance identifier, session and engagement information, and game-event counts such as pumpkins collected. Its automatic events can also include an in-app purchase, with the product, price, currency and quantity. This helps us understand use and investigate problems. We rely on your consent for this optional processing.

We do not send hunt backups, precise in-game positions, your email address or Google Play purchase token to Analytics. The app disables Analytics advertising-identifier collection and advertising-personalisation signals. App events are recorded separately from website page views.

You can switch Usage analytics off at any time. This stops collection and resets locally queued Analytics data. It does not automatically erase events already received by Google. Contact contact@uaprad.org about information already sent. Our Analytics property retains event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months after the latest activity. Aggregated reports can remain after those records expire.

App settings includes Analytics data requests, where you can copy references for information collected with your consent. These references remain in private app storage to help identify records when you contact us. References older than fourteen months are removed when the app next opens. Clearing Android app storage removes them.

Google Analytics privacy controls

Purchases

Google Play processes payment and account information under its own terms and privacy notice. To confirm paid benefits, the app sends UAPRAD's verification service the purchase token, product and app identifiers, a random installation identifier and a one-time request value. The service checks the purchase with Google and returns a signed receipt tied to the installation.

The verification service does not store purchase tokens or record them in application logs. The app retains the signed receipt locally until it is replaced, cleared or removed with app storage. Its offline validity is limited to seven days. Google retains its transaction records under its own policies. We process verification information to provide the upgrade and prevent fraudulent or duplicate claims.

Updates and service providers

Requests for game updates, public legal pages and purchase verification pass through our Cloudflare hosting service. Network delivery and security can involve IP addresses and request metadata. We use this processing to provide requested services and protect their availability and integrity. Hunt backups are not attached to these requests.

Google provides advertising, consent, purchases and optional Analytics services. Their processing can take place outside the UK, including in the United States. Applicable provider terms use recognised transfer arrangements, such as adequacy frameworks and contractual safeguards, where required. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to UAPRAD's processing.

Retention, deletion and backups

Local hunt records remain until you delete them, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Delete hunt data in App settings removes the hunt, recovery copies and checkpoint/continuation history. It retains settings, privacy choices and the terms acknowledgement. Clearing Android app storage removes app-managed local information; ownership of a Google Play purchase remains with the relevant Google account and can be restored.

Exported backups are unencrypted JSON files in the location you choose. They are separate from app storage and are not removed by deleting hunt data or uninstalling. Importing a backup does not grant paid entitlement or accept terms or privacy choices for you.

Advertising and payment records held by Google follow Google's retention policies. We normally retain game-support correspondence for up to twenty-four months after resolution, with longer retention where needed for a legal obligation or an active dispute.

Your rights and contact

You can contact contact@uaprad.org about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where those rights apply. You can withdraw optional consent through the app without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not sell hunt backups or private saved progress.

If you email us, we use your address and message to answer your enquiry and resolve the concern. We rely on our legitimate interest in providing support and, where applicable, our obligation to respond to a data-rights request. The app does not attach a backup automatically.

We cannot remotely remove a file stored only on your device. Use the app's deletion controls and delete exported copies separately. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or another supervisory authority where you have that right.
